Wrexham’s new open mall shopping centre has been dynamically designed to integrate with the existing network of streets and squares, and will provide the town with a dominant destination for shopping, parking and leisure - generating vast economic benefits for the region.

Wilson Bowden Developments were selected as preferred partners by Wrexham Borough Council in 2004, and they commissioned a mixed-purpose scheme to be designed by architects Bernard Engle incorporating retail, leisure and residential uses.

In addition to the forty plus retail units housing all the major high street names there will be an Odeon multiplex, a 24 lane Tenpin bowling alley, a selection of bars and restaurants and a 1000 space car park to accommodate shoppers. Wilson Bowden chose William Lea to provide screeding throughout all of the units due to its expertise and wealth of experience in the field of flooring solutions.

We installed Isocrete K-Screed and Tarmac Truscreed because of their fast-drying capabilities. The K-Screed solution could be laid quickly and over a large area at a time by our team of licensed applicators, and suits a site exposed to heavy construction traffic because of its high abrasion and impact resistance. The factory pre-mixed Tarmac Truscreed provides the accurate proportioning and cement dispersion for uniform compressive floor strength, and has the versatility of being either a direct application to the concrete slab or as a topping to lightweight screeds.
