Chester HQ
Client: Pochin Construction
Project: Chester HQ
Screed area: 11,000 m²
Product/spec: K Screed
The 250,000 sq ft HQ is set to become the newest and most prestigious landmark in Chester. Liberty Properties have commissioned a mixed-use development with a contemporary interpretation of historic elements, situated in 3 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on a site previously occupied by the Cheshire Police Headquarters.
Located in a prime city centre location, near the Roman Walls of Chester, overlooking the famous Roodee Racecourse and the River Dee the extensive programme is currently valued in excess of £100 million. The 250,000 sq ft development has been designed by AFL Architects and will incorporate a luxury four-star Abode Hotel, two additional restaurants, highly specified office space, and 35 residential apartments and penthouses with views across Chester Racecourse.
When construction commenced in May 2007, main contractors Pochin Construction employed William Lea to provide specialist screeding throughout all levels of the complex, including the six storey living and office space. We installed Isocrete K-Screed, a quick cure fast-drying screed which can be applied quickly to large areas at a time by our teams of licensed professional screeders. It is William Lea’s expertise and ability to install large areas of screed in a short amount of time, coupled with the product’s fast track capabilities, that make it the preferred company for large developments with heavy traffic.
